Hi Space Adventurer!
Kincaid is having a BLAST!
In our last installment Kincaid found herself deep underneath the Kobold city, getting lost in the ancient cistern caverns and getting through some sticky situations! But she found a new power down there and with it, new areas of the jungle open up for exploration!
Explore the Holy Grounds
The Holy Grounds is the training and testing ground for young shamans. Here they spend most of their time practicing their powers and learning about the inner workings of their world and the careful delicate balance their whole ecosystem is resting upon.
Once they reach a certain level they can enter the Temple of Trials where they will have to pass their final test before becoming a full fledged shaman serving under the queen.
Two New Animations!
The build features two new animations tied to certain story events or NPC interactions. They become unlocked in the gallery if you manage to find them! ^w~
New Input System
We did a big version update on the input system that we use under the hood. The new input library hopefully handles more controllers better and saving and loading configurations should be less error prone. Rebinding controls is also much safer and game controls have been separated from menu controls, so changing that should no longer mess with menu navigation and getting past screens.

Kincaid‘s latest escapades take a surprising turn. As tensions flare between the two quarreling tribes, our frisky wolf finds herself deep in enemy territory… without backup.
Only this time running in and punching beasts and beefcakes in the face isn‘t the answer!
She’ll have to do something she’s not very good at. Something radical. She has to hide! >_>;
Slip past guards, scout out the terrain, and uncover vital clues that might just end the conflict and bring an end to the tribal tit-for-tat.
Bottom Up or Top Down?
Remember those big but gentle sabertoofers prowling around the jungle? Their weight deliciously pressing down? Their big chests vibrating as they purred? The sensation of their glutes and lats working under the touch of your paws? Their rough tongues tickling your nose? Whew… ^w~
Well, Kinny isn‘t the only one on the market for a piece of that pie!
With those big beefy boys and the bubble butt bolds mingling under the canopy, it was only a matter of time before they couldn’t keep it in their pants any longer – or jockstraps and thongs for that matter!
Kincaid couldn’t call herself an explorer and adventurer if she didn’t try to observe those fascinating rituals and take some notes – for science!
Deep beneath the planet surface, the Urslime soaks in a river of acid
Far below the jungle floor, past crumbling ruins and forgotten roots, Kincaid discovers a facility older than anything she‘s seen before. Left behind by the Gardeners, this place isn’t as abandoned as it seems.
A creature so ancient beyond comprehension has claimed this place as its domain and its influence oozes through every crack in the walls.
Does it have goo‘d intentions or will Kincaid find herself in an all too sticky situation?

Charming New Items
We‘re also testing our charms system with a couple of new little upgrades! You can discover three unique, equippable items hidden throughout the levels.
Developer’s Note: These upgrades are temporary. We‘re experimenting with placement and power while we continue shaping the rest of the game. Some charms may move. Some might vanish entirely. So enjoy them while they last! ^w~
“Hello, is this the Better Bot Bureau? I’m calling to file a complaint.”
Renee is done playing fair – not that she ever did. She has unleashed the first wave of electricity-powered pests to keep Kincaid from focusing on her mission. But is that even necessary? I mean, come on… You know what I mean.
Developer’s Note 2
To help people find some of the new content faster, the map now shows some obvious markers to guide you. This excludes items, secrets and other things that are either hidden or part of a quest we nudge the player towards.

We are fully aware that a lot of these story bits are still loose and “up in the air”. It’s surprisingly tough to figure out the right amount of context to give for a new piece of content, when the “connecting tissue” of the story is still missing. Y’all are here to play the game, not watch some cutscenes and read dialogue, that’s why we’re leaving that for later, just stubbing it out to give the necessary amount of context for the scene to make sense. But rest assured, it’ll all make sense in the end, the broad strokes and many of the finer details of the story and character arcs have already been fleshed out in our design docs!

Hi Space Adventurer!
After a long wait, here is our next Update for you!
There is a lot to say about what’s new in the build and what took us longer than usual to finish it… but all that has to wait because we want to push the build out NOW and not make you wait a day longer.
(Also it’s 3am so I’ll keep it short and sweet)
First things first: Since the build took so long, we want to make it available to all supporters who have recently pledged, but aren’t subscribed right now. We think you shouldn’t miss out and will make the update available to you!
There’s quite a few new things to check out, although not everything is polished yet.
– New intimacy animation: The Bat makes her appearance
– New smaller intimacy animation between a kobold and his goey friend
– New gallery options: Pinups! Starting with Kincaids favorite rival…
– New level mechanics to play around with
– New Area: The cisterns are where kobolds get their water from
– New preview: A demo version of how our space station will look like with friendly NPCs to greet you
– Lots of bug fixes
– Probably lots of new bugs that we havent found yet xD
Disclaimer: Many rooms are not decorated yet and the connections between them are temporary. Not all rooms are done, but instead of waiting any longer, we connected everything in a playable way.
So expect more and quicker updates in the future – we want to both keep you informed about what’s going on, as well as work with shorter update cycles. In an upcoming post I will talk more about what went on in 2024 – let’s just say for now, the year was very rough on both of us.
Right now we have a few pieces of content that are basically ready but couldn’t be tied into this update, but are waiting to be added in!

Hotfix Changelog
Fixes:
- Fixed: Custom input bindings not loading properly
- Fixed: Infinite dying on reload bug
- Fixed: Kaha Bossfight sometimes crashing at the start
- Fixed: Door chime in a room in the ruins after you have already opened the door before
- Fixed: Game not saving after defeating Kaha
- Fixed: Some insects aggroing at the start of a level when they shouldn’t be able to see Kincaid
- Fixed: Crawling could interrupt a steep slope slide and you could just crawl back up.
- Fixed: Some huts in the ruins area had the wrong camera bounds
- Fixed: Pausing and unpausing in the room with the champion shows the animation and the NPC at the same time
- Fixed: Some insta-death traps double hitting
- Fixed: Kincaid can no longer grab ledges at the top of the screen and pull herself out of the level

Changes:
- Warning Screen does not exit the game anymore when you press the wrong button
- Gallery is now split into animations and CG sections and they no longer tie to one another
- New content has been added to the gallery
- Added a bunch of more geckos to the levels so they should be more common to encounter
- Threesome no longer unlocks automatically with the normal animation
- Elevators in the ruins were annoying to get on to – now they sink a bit into the ground to make it easier to use them.
- Using flapper outposts now saves the game and sets them as a respawn point
- Insect enemies are a bit less relentless in their pursuit
- Added rift that lets you out of the one way trip leading up to the boss fight – Appear after you challenged the boss at least once, weather you win or lose

WHEW! Just made it in the nick of time! We were super determined to pull this build together before January turns around. xD

Queen’s Champion Scene
Yup! He’s finally getting his turn! xD
Just walk up to him and strike up a conversation. Later on this scene will be tied to an optional boss fight, so enjoy it “for free” until then. ^w~
Kipi & Puaki Scene
This is the first scene done by Reydam! To watch it, talk to the smaller kobold on top of the hut with the white flowers and then follow them inside!
As with the champion, this scene will later be tied to a short quest related to the story.
For now, please enjoy Rey’s magnificent work! n_n
Fast Travel
This build also introduces the kobold-driven fast travel system: The Flapper Network!
From now on, on this planet, you’ll be finding flag posts with either a red or a pink flag. Pink means that it has been captured. If you ring the bell, it will activate and you can use it.
If it has a red flag, it needs to be captured first! Ringing the bell is going to start a fight. Protect the friendly kobold while waves of enemies spawn.
After the red flag has been replaced with a pink one, the outpost is yours and can be used!

Goat Enemy
This little stinker is definitely a step up from the kobolds. They are fast and dangerous! We are still tweaking these, but keep in mind that you will face these enemies on the second planet where the learning curve has gone up a little bit. You’ll also have more upgrades by the time you meet them.
But for now, we hope you have fun pummeling them and getting your, uh, revenge! ^w~
Kobold City Ruins
We have expanded a great deal on this area! We hope you have as much fun exploring it and finding the secrets as we had building it.
Can you find all the Rift Crystals and discover what this new Rift is all about!?
(HINT: To make it a bit easier, we have hidden more Rift Crystals in the area than you actually need to open the portal! But if you’re up for a challenge, try to find all 18 of them!)
Map Screen
The map screen has been completely recreated from the ground up! It is heavily inspired by the map style of games like Ori and Hollow Knight. We think it makes navigating maps easier, as the shape of the area gives you more information than a bunch of colored squares.
You can also set your own pins now! Click a pin again to cycle through images.
Deflected Projectiles
A smaller but interesting change is the way deflected projectiles behave now. We want to expand on this mechanic and make it more fun. Try hitting kobold bombs and other stuff and see what happens! This should make fighting enemies that use projectiles and throwables way more fun and rewarding!
